An electrocardiogram (ECG) is one of the most ordered investigations in cardiovascular medicine practice. Although cardiology has much evolved, with newer and complicated investigations, the ECG has remained as one of the most important investigations. The test is mandatory in the diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction, a life-threatening cardiac emergency. This course, therefore, intends to furnish trainees with the practical knowledge and skills to confidently conduct, interpret and report on an ECG taken from a wide range of clinical situations and commonly encountered cardiovascular conditions.
